This statement explains what data Apphletes processes, why we do so, and which choices and rights you have.
Apphletes is a Dutch general partnership (VOF) established in The Hague, the Netherlands. We are registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 42133988. Our VAT identification number is NL869874135B01.

When you submit a project brief or contact request, we process the information you provide, such as your name, email address, organisation, app idea, intended users, essential features, project stage and timing.
In the client portal, we process account and access data, including your email address, organisation membership, role, authentication data and necessary security and activity information. For client apps, we process only the app-specific content managed there by authorised users.
On the public website we record privacy-friendly pageviews, such as the page visited, language, referring page and time. We do not use this to create personal visitor profiles and do not store a persistent visitor identifier for this purpose.
We process data to respond to your request and take steps towards a possible agreement, to perform agreements with clients, to operate the client portal securely and to improve our website and services.
Depending on the situation, our legal basis is entering into or performing a contract, our legitimate interest in providing secure and effective services, a legal obligation or — where required — your consent.
We use carefully selected providers for hosting, database services, authentication, storage and transactional email. For this website and client portal, these include Vercel, Supabase, Resend and TransIP. They process data only for their agreed task and under their security and privacy terms.
We may share data with professional advisers or competent authorities when necessary or legally required. We do not sell personal data or use it to build advertising profiles.
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the parties involved use appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
We retain data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected. We generally retain a request that does not lead to a collaboration for no more than 24 months after the last substantive contact, so we can follow it up properly.
We retain client, portal and app data during the collaboration and afterwards only as long as needed for completion, security, disputes or legal obligations. We retain administrative records for the statutory periods. We use technical logs and pageviews only for analysis and security, not for advertising profiles.
You can request access to, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your personal data. You may also object to processing or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Send your request to hello@apphletes.com; we may ask for additional information to verify your identity.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

A functional authentication cookie is required for a secure signed-in session in the client portal. If our use of cookies changes, we will update this information and request consent where required.
We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections, strong authentication, roles and permissions, server- and database-side authorisation and separation of client data. No security method is entirely risk-free, so please report a potential security issue directly by email.
